tl;dr

My name is John Fink and I’m a brand designer/strategist. I help small brands land passionate fans. Brands are all about first impressions, reputation and trust. If you believe these things matter and need help taking your brand to the next level… hit me up!

Creative

Though I graduated with a degree in architecture from Texas A&M, I quickly discovered design was my true calling and have been designing ever since. I view creative thinking / problem solving as both work and play. (from designing brands, researching products to solve existing issues or deciding I need to design and build my own “DIY” solutions)

I define my design style as “subtle strength”, utilizing strong geometry to efficiently communicate your brand’s nature. I consider curiosity to be my greatest design superpower, but I’m also a minimalist by nature, so I enjoy the exploration every bit as much as the refinement and final result.

Personal

I grew up, and still live, in Dallas / Fort Worth, where I enjoy spending time with my wife, son and dog. If I’m not designing, you’ll likely find me outside playing disc golf, inline skating, woodworking, hiking, fishing or treasure hunting. I also appreciate movies, music and gaming when I finally come indoors, but I’m most at peace when I’m out in nature.

Exploring God’s creation is so relaxing, refreshing and inspiring. As an introvert, these outdoor adventures allow me to rest my mind and restore my creativity tank. There’s nothing better than entering a creative “flow state” with a full tank. I whole-heartily believe I was created to create.
